RECYCLING UPDATE The Borough of Brooklawn’s recycling rate has been increasing each year. Please continue to separate recyclables out of the trash stream. Not only is it the best for the environment, but financially as well. Recycling saves Brooklawn tax payers about $ 40.00/ton of trash, which is significant savings. Thank you residents!

We have started a new clothing recycling program. The clothing bags are collected on the 2ND MONDAY OF THE MONTH. Please placed used clothing, shoes, belts, all textiles into plastic bags and then into the textile bag and place at curb. You will be left a new bag every time you place one out. If you would like additional bags, call 456-2638. The Borough receives credit for all the clothing that is recycled, and saves on the fees for trash disposal.

For more information on the clothing recycling program visit: www.communityrecycling.biz

IN CASE OF SNOW, please use driveways and PLEASE TRY TO REFRAIN FROM PARKING IN THE ALLEYS. It is very hard to plow snow in the alleys and is more difficult when there are cars parked there. If a vehicle is in the way, the alley WILL NOT be plowed. Public works will try to clear all streets as efficiently as possible. Please wait to clear your driveway apron until we have cleared the street. Also please do not blow snow back into the street.

Please remember to call 856-456-3434 for any water or sewer emergencies you may encounter after working hours. During working hours between 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Call 856-456-2638 or 856-456-0750.

Thank you for you continued cooperation.
